Born Vincent Willem van Gogh, Vincent van Gogh was a famous painter born on 30 March 1853 in Netherlands but later moved and settled in France and is considered French. He began painting in his late twenties and died at an early age of 37 and produced about 2000 artworks. He was not well known during his lifetime but years after his death, he is seen as one of the greatest painters. Some of his famous work includes Sunflowers, Irises, The Potato Eaters. He suffered from anxiety and mental illness and died after shooting himself. He was financially and emotionally supported by his brother Theo van Gogh who was an art dealer.
